The challenges that our youth in New Orleans face are real and significant. Many lack safe places to play sports and have fun while others do not have access to quality role model coaches or are regularly exposed to violence at an alarmingly high rate. Our effective programs help to overcome some of these challenges.
We have served over 2,500 youth in our program from every neighborhood and zip code in New Orleans since 2012.
We have trained over 250 coach-mentors in New Orleans since 2012.
Our coach-mentors have spent 25,000 volunteer hours with players serving as role models and building character over the last 6 years.
We have made a direct investment of $180,000 in youth programming in New Orleans.
Through balls and shin guards we directly provide to kids, and gently used pieces we collect and distribute, we’ve provided kids with the means to play when they otherwise wouldn’t have been able to.
Kids need access to great programs. We have provided 30,000 hours of safe and accessible programming since 2012.
